Protecting Ecological Balance Through Innovation

Application of Green Materials

In today’s world where environmental awareness is increasing, sustainable design is no longer just a trend but a necessity. As leaders in environmental practices, the hotel industry significantly reduces environmental impact and enhances guest experiences by adopting sustainable product designs. Balancing luxury with environmental responsibility, hotels and resorts meet the demand for eco-friendly travel while safeguarding our planet for future generations.

Ming Fai focuses on eco-friendly materials and processes, actively exploring ecological design to reduce environmental impact and achieve sustainable development.

Ming Fai's Environmental Footprint

Since 2007, Ming Fai has been at the forefront of innovation, developing a variety of eco-friendly guest room supplies in line with the pulse of the times. From sourcing and processing raw materials to manufacturing, usage, and disposal, sustainable design reduces product carbon footprints and promotes the development of a circular economy by prioritizing eco-friendly materials, improving energy efficiency, and reducing waste.
PSM

Ming Fai has taken the initiative to develop eco-friendly hotel amenities using biodegradable plastic called PSM (Plastarch Material), derived from corn starch.

PCR
Ming Fai has implemented a multi-line production strategy in the development of eco-friendly hotel amenities, transitioning from using PSM to adopting PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled Plastic).
EcoPure
Ming Fai has introduced EcoPure, a biodegradable plastic additive, into plastic products. This additive effectively enhances the biodegradation rate of traditional plastics.
Stone Paper
Ming Fai has made a significant breakthrough in paper packaging by utilizing stone paper as an outer packaging material. Stone paper possesses the texture of traditional paper and the durability of plastic, while being independent of wood resources.
FSC Paper

Ming Fai utilizes paper that is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), which helps alleviate the pressure on the demand for raw materials and protects forest resources.

RSPO
Ming Fai’s product formulations have obtained certification from the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), ensuring the overall environmental performance of hotel toiletries.
Soy lnk

Ming Fai has introduced degradable soy-based ink for printing, which facilitates the recycling and regeneration of paper waste.

Wheat Straw
Ming Fai has introduced a new bio-based material, wheat straw, which allows agricultural waste to create new value and reduces the impact on the ecological environment.
PLA
Ming Fai has started using PLA (Polylactic Acid) materials in the products. PLA is a compostable and biodegradable material, allowing for a natural return to the environment at the end of the product’s lifecycle.
OBP

Ming Fai is actively involved in marine conservation efforts by utilizing ocean recycled plastic as a production material. In addition, they have undertaken research and development to create a series of products using biodegradable wheat straw materials.

Sugarcane / Aluminum Packing

Ming Fai continues to introduce natural agricultural waste, such as sugarcane bagasse, as a raw material to produce pure sugarcane paper bags and boxes.

Ming Fai has launched 0-plastic-aluminum tube products, achieving infinite recycling and maximizing the value of the products through a circular economy approach.

Bamboo Fibre / Shell Material / Coffee Grounds
Ming Fai continues to expand the application of waste materials to natural products by incorporating materials such as bamboo fibre, seashells, and coffee grounds into product manufacturing.
